I am Imran Abul Kashem, an award-winning photographer and the owner of Westend Photography Studio in Werribee. I have a passion for capturing the moments that matter most to my clients, whether it be a family portrait, headshot, personal branding photo, or commercial photography.
My day starts with a peaceful routine of meditation and reading. I find that starting my day in this way sets me up for success, allowing me to focus and be present for my clients. After getting ready for the day and dropping my children Taha and Tanna off at school, I head to my studio in Watton Street, Werribee.
Upon arrival, I take a moment to reflect on my schedule and plan for the day ahead. I then meet with my office staff, Amoy Engel, and we work together to ensure everything is organised and running smoothly.
In addition to running a photography studio, I also own Westend Business Hub, a co-working space that provides a supportive community for local entrepreneurs. Throughout the day, I take time to connect with my colleagues and share ideas and inspiration. I believe that working together and fostering positive relationships with those around me is essential for success in any business.

As the day progresses, my team of six photographers and I are busy capturing memories for our clients. We take pride in providing high-quality results, and I am always available to answer any questions or concerns that my team may have.

One of the things I love about my job is that no two days are the same. One moment I may be taking family portraits in our studio, and the next I am out on location capturing a personal branding photo. I also enjoy getting to know my clients and creating a positive and relaxed environment for them during their photo shoot.
During my lunch break, I like to explore the diverse food and coffee options in Werribee. I believe it’s important to support local businesses, and I always make an effort to purchase from the shops and cafes in Watton Street. I also take this time to chat with other business owners and people in the community, building relationships and learning about their experiences.
In the afternoon, I focus on post-processing and editing photos. I believe that attention to detail is key when it comes to delivering the best results for my clients. I also use this time to welcome local business owners and entrepreneurs to my studio, offering them the opportunity to collaborate and share ideas.
At the end of the day, I like to make any necessary purchases for my family and then head home to spend time with them. Although running a photography business can be challenging at times, I am grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day.
